Upway is a rapidly growing e-bike marketplace and is seeking an SMB Partnership Manager to scale its retailer network across the Netherlands. In this role, you will own a major bicycle region and manage all business relationships end-to-end, serving as the trusted partner for independent bike shops and regional chains.
Your core responsibilities include:
• Regional Ownership: Take full responsibility for a major bicycle region, managing all business relationships end-to-end.
• Hunt, Close, and Onboard New Retail Partners: Identify, prospect, and onboard independent bike shops and regional chains in your territory. Convert cold prospects into active partners who use Upway's trade-in tool daily.
• Stock Purchasing: Identify and purchase excess stock from partners to expand Upway's product offering.
• Build Long-Term Trust: Develop reliable, ongoing relationships with partners. You will need to be comfortable discussing technical specifications with mechanics and negotiating contracts with business owners.
• Negotiations: Secure favorable purchasing conditions for Upway through strategic negotiation.
• Deploy Additional Services: Leverage your partner network to support deployment of new services as Upway expands its B2B ecosystem (pickup, dropoff, maintenance, B2B sales).
You will spend 60–80% of your time in the field, traveling within your region to strengthen partner relationships and close deals.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 2–5 years of experience in B2B Sales, Business Development, or Purchasing. Experience in the cycling industry is a plus, but strong sales DNA (FMCG, SaaS, Field Sales) is valued above all.
• Hunter mindset: comfortable with cold outreach, driven to close deals, resilient to rejection.
• Road warrior mentality: energized by field work and willing to travel 60–80% of the time within your region.
• Analytical approach: use data to prioritize targets and optimize routes.
• Proven negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms.
• Genuine passion for cycling and the bike industry; authentic enthusiasm will unlock conversations and build peer credibility with partners.
• Native-level Dutch and professional English proficiency (for internal reporting).
