Flock Safety is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer III focused on Developer Experience to help scale cloud operations across thousands of deployed services. In this role, you will architect and refine developer experience tooling and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and efficient deployment of cloud software changes. You'll own and manage developer self-service tooling and operational processes around secrets management, deployment rollbacks, and infrastructure best practices. Your primary customers are internal cloud engineering teams, and your mission is to eliminate developer toil and reduce operational friction across the software development lifecycle. You will partner with cloud engineering teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, observe production health, and drive continuous improvement. As part of the Cloud SRE rotation, you'll maintain production availability and resolve system incidents under pressure. You'll write production-grade automation code and tests in Go and TypeScript, building automated self-service systems that empower engineering teams to own their deployments safely. This is not a traditional feature development role, nor is it a manual gatekeeping position—you'll switch contexts and pivot priorities swiftly to address urgent cloud infrastructure challenges. You bring demonstrated experience writing production-quality code in Go or TypeScript with automated testing suites. You have hands-on proficiency with cloud-native infrastructure tooling including Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and AWS. You understand observability, distributed troubleshooting, CI/CD refinement, and disaster recovery principles. You navigate context switching effectively and operate asynchronously in a high-trust, collaborative environment. Flock Safety supports over 1 million criminal investigations annually and helps locate missing people. The company is 1,700 people strong with over $1B in funding, building critical public safety technology.
