Blockchain.com is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the Core infrastructure team. The company is a leading global cryptocurrency platform with over 90 million wallet holders and 40 million verified users, facilitating over $1 trillion in crypto transactions since 2011.
In this role, you will play a critical part in evolving Blockchain's infrastructure to support a distributed financial platform serving millions of customers daily. You'll develop deep understanding of product infrastructure needs and build creative engineering solutions that improve customer experience while maintaining security and reliability at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evolving infrastructure solutions addressing reliability, latency, bandwidth, and security challenges
- Improving observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform
- Coordinating work across teams to ensure efficient execution
- Centralizing duplicated work streams across developer teams
- Building tooling to replace manual, repetitive work at scale
- Guiding and educating developer teams on secure, scalable feature delivery
Required qualifications:
- Strong experience with containerization and service orchestration (Nomad, Consul, Vault preferred)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Golang, Python, Bash preferred)
- Deep Linux knowledge including resource allocation and networking
- Cloud platform experience (GCP or AWS)
- Expertise with modern monitoring tools (Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, Telegraf)
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform)
- Configuration management background (Saltstack preferred)
- GitOps and CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions preferred)
- Messaging systems knowledge (Kafka)
- Database management experience
