Exiger is a FedRAMP-authorized AI platform company that transforms supply chain visibility and risk management for Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies. The company's 1Exiger platform uses proprietary data and advanced AI to surface risk, automate compliance, and unlock efficiencies across complex supplier ecosystems.
This is a founding Site Reliability Engineer role—the first dedicated SRE hire at Exiger. You will establish and own the SRE function from the ground up, setting the standards, tooling, and practices that keep 1Exiger reliable for 550+ customers in mission-critical, regulated, and government environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets; establish reliability standards adopted across engineering teams
- Build and own observability infrastructure: instrument services for availability, latency, and system health; turn signal into actionable insight
- Drive reliability decisions with data: form hypotheses, measure impact, let metrics guide priorities
- Own production service reliability from design consulting and launch reviews through steady-state operation and incident response
- Eliminate repetitive manual operations through automation and infrastructure-as-code
- Design for scale: capacity planning, deployment strategies, and automation that let the platform grow without proportional headcount growth
- Apply expertise in coding, algorithms, complexity analysis, and large-scale distributed system design to solve reliability challenges unique to mission-critical AI platforms in regulated environments
You will work in a culture of intellectual curiosity, problem-solving, and blame-free collaboration. This role requires U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. security clearance. The position is hybrid across three U.S. locations: Jersey City, NJ; McLean, VA; and Richmond, VA.
