Salary: USD 180,000 - 250,000 / annual
ConductorOne is building a horizontal identity platform that serves as the control plane for modern companies. The platform helps organizations understand and manage access across dozens of systems—SaaS apps, infrastructure, internal tools, and AI agents—answering the fundamental question: who can do what, when, and why?
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will own the reliability and scalability of the platform, designing and operating infrastructure that serves customers who depend on C1. You'll work across both the core cloud environment and the FedRAMP-authorized environment, ensuring systems remain performant and secure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) using infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, Pulumi)
- Build observability systems—monitoring, alerting, and tooling that enable rapid incident response
- Partner with product engineering teams to embed reliability into new features from the start
- Automate operational toil through scripting and tooling in Go, Python, or similar languages
- Lead incident response, conduct blameless postmortems, and drive systemic improvements
- Plan and execute infrastructure projects with clear technical risk assessment and iterative delivery
You bring production systems experience at scale, deep cloud infrastructure expertise, and strong programming skills. You're comfortable with Kubernetes and container orchestration, understand systems thinking and failure modes, and have hands-on observability expertise. You operate with high agency, figure out what needs building, and move fast. You're already using AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor, Copilot) and excited about their potential.
Bonus experience includes AI/ML infrastructure, security/compliance frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP), developer platforms, identity protocols (SCIM, SAML, OAuth, LDAP), and open-source contributions.
