Satori Analytics is a fast-growing data and AI scale-up (100+ specialists) delivering cutting-edge analytics solutions across FMCG, retail, manufacturing, and financial services. They're seeking a hands-on Simulation Optimization Consultant to lead the transformation of plant simulation from manual scenario analysis to automated, simulation-based optimization for a global aluminium manufacturing leader.
You will own the full lifecycle of a modular optimization framework: integrating it with production AnyLogic models, databases, APIs, and plant-data environments; translating operational questions (scheduling, resource allocation, energy, logistics, throughput) into simulation and optimization use cases; and building Java-based components that execute scenarios, marshal inputs, and enable reliable optimization runs.
Key responsibilities include defining and validating simulation data contracts and business KPIs to ensure recommendations are reproducible and operationally credible; applying the right optimization approaches for real-valued, scheduling, selection, and multi-objective problems; designing efficient experiments for long-running simulations; validating recommendations against live models and quantifying operational benefit; and supporting the transition from prototype to repeatable operational process. You'll also contribute to dashboards, recurring study scheduling, workflow integration, technical documentation, and knowledge transfer while collaborating closely with client stakeholders and the delivery team.
Required: demonstrable hands-on commercial experience with AnyLogic (developing, adapting, integrating, troubleshooting models); strong Java development experience in integration-oriented or production-quality software engineering; discrete-event simulation experience (agent-based modeling highly valuable); background in manufacturing, process, plant, logistics, or supply-chain simulation; practical understanding of optimization, operations research, simulation-based decision support, or digital twins; experience integrating software with databases, APIs, and production data environments; ability to communicate technical results in terms of operational decisions and measurable outcomes.
Hybrid role based in Athens with flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or UK (up to 6 weeks/year). Competitive salary, training budget (Microsoft, AWS, Salesforce, Databricks certifications), private insurance, and top-tier tech gear.
