Datadog's Implementation Services team is seeking a Services Architect 3 to lead the discovery, design, build, and launch of the Datadog observability platform for enterprise customers. In this role, you will develop technical roadmaps for customer implementations and guide them through every phase of deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and execute Datadog implementations, including requirements gathering, technical architecture development, and deployment support
- Lead customer onboarding through co-development sessions and provide technical guidance when obstacles arise
- Write automation code and design architecture for deployment templates to accelerate time-to-value
- Manage implementation projects end-to-end, ensuring successful launches
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Technical Account Management, and Sales teams to deliver exceptional onboarding experiences
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an Architect or Consultant in professional services
- Deep expertise designing and delivering technical solutions for DevOps monitoring and architecture systems
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and compute technologies (EC2, serverless, VMware, Kubernetes, Docker)
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and CI/CD tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines)
- Strong programming/scripting skills in languages such as Python, Java, Go, Node.js, Ruby, PHP, or .NET
- Ability to travel up to 30% for client site visits
- Growth mindset and comfort with emerging AI tools
