Saronic Technologies, a leader in autonomous maritime systems for defense applications, is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to serve as the primary platform owner and administrator for their enterprise ServiceNow environment. This is a platform ownership role focused on process efficiency, data integrity, and user adoption rather than ticket resolution.
You will own the end-to-end deployment of ServiceNow solutions: from scoping and design through development, testing, and continuous improvement in production. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and ACLs; building and managing Flow Designer flows and automations; administering Update Sets and managing change promotion across Dev, Test, and Production environments; designing and deploying IntegrationHub spokes for enterprise integrations; building REST/SOAP integrations with internal systems and third-party tools; configuring and maturing Change Management, CMDB, and Hardware Asset Management modules; administering Discovery, MID Server configurations, and Service Mapping; designing Service Catalog items and Record Producers; optimizing the end-user experience through portal customization; enforcing access controls; partnering with IT leadership on requirements; documenting technical designs and runbooks; and providing Tier 3 support as the escalation point.
Required qualifications include 3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience; proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, and server/client-side scripting; demonstrated experience with ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog); experience deploying ITOM modules (Discovery, CMDB, MID Server, Service Mapping); experience configuring Hardware or IT Asset Management modules; practical experience building automations with Flow Designer; familiarity with REST/SOAP integration concepts; strong understanding of ITIL processes; and ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and communicating with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications include ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications; experience with IntegrationHub custom spoke development; hands-on CMDB governance experience; familiarity with IT security frameworks relevant to defense contracting (CMMC, NIST SP 800-171); experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework; exposure to Performance Analytics and KPI dashboard development; and experience in defense, federal, or highly regulated IT environments.
