Doma Technology provides solutions for lenders, real estate professionals, title agents, and homeowners to simplify and streamline real estate closings. This role serves as a strategic operations and compliance leader focused on Texas escrow and title services.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Leadership & Compliance: Serve as Doma's named, licensed escrow officer in Texas, maintaining an active TDI license in good standing. Own full compliance with TDI requirements including bonding, continuing education, recordkeeping, and escrow-related filings or audits. Monitor Texas escrow, title, and real estate closing regulations, flagging changes that affect Doma's products, processes, or client obligations, and translating regulatory requirements into operational practice.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the internal SME on Texas escrow requirements for Legal, Compliance, Product, and leadership teams. Evaluate state-specific title and escrow regulatory requirements to advise on Doma's expansion into new markets and geographies.
Partnership & Client Strategy: Help stand up strategic partnerships with large national settlement agents and attorneys supporting company initiatives. Serve as a point of contact for product questions and service escalations from agent clients, ensuring timely, high-quality resolution. Support optimization of Doma's business relationships, helping ensure production workflows and service delivery stay aligned.
Enablement & Operations: Develop and deploy "lights-out" enablement materials—tools, training, and workflows that let agent clients of every size operate independently on Doma's platform. Monitor the production team's title search and exam output for quality, accuracy, and regulatory soundness.
This role blends regulatory expertise, operational strategy, and client partnership management in a fast-growing proptech/fintech company.
