As SEO Content Lead, you will own organic search as a growth channel end-to-end, reporting to the Head of Marketing. This is a hands-on role spanning strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Fonoa's SEO roadmap across core tax topics (VAT, GST, e-invoicing, reverse charge, VIES, Peppol, etc.), making keyword, topic cluster, and site architecture decisions.
- Build and manage a content production pipeline, coordinating the publishing calendar, briefing writers, and maintaining a steady cadence of SEO content.
- Partner with Fonoa's tax subject matter experts to ensure all content is accurate, defensible, and technically sound, managing the review loop without slowing production.
- Track rankings, organic traffic, and conversion metrics from organic content; report on performance and identify opportunities to double down.
- Apply and enforce Fonoa's editorial standards consistently (no em dashes, sentence case, active voice, American English, evidence-based claims).
- Diagnose and communicate technical site issues to engineering, using core SEO tools to maintain site health.
- Work with marketing ops to ensure the site remains technically sound and performant.
You will have the support of agencies and freelancers where beneficial for growth, but this role requires hands-on ownership of strategy and execution.
Requirements:
- 3–6 years of SEO experience, ideally combining both strategy/content background and hands-on technical SEO skills.
- Proven experience managing a content production pipeline, including briefing and coordinating with writers and subject matter experts.
- Demonstrated ability to work with AI tools to optimize workflows and increase production while maintaining quality.
- Comfort with complex, technical, and regulatory subject matter; ability to translate it into content that ranks and reads well.
- Familiarity with core SEO tooling (Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog) and sufficient technical fluency to diagnose and communicate site issues.
- Strong writing and editing skills with sharp judgment on editorial quality.
- Ability to own a roadmap independently and prioritize across strategy, technical fixes, and content production simultaneously.
- Bonus: experience in B2B SaaS, fintech, or other verticals with technical/regulatory subject matter.
