Fal is building the generative media ecosystem powering the next generation of AI products. The company provides infrastructure, tools, and model access that enable teams to move from idea to production at scale. You will design, build, and operate the public and private network infrastructure connecting Fal's data centers and cloud environments, supporting both the public serverless platform and custom compute clusters.
Your scope spans the full networking stack: internet routing, private connectivity, overlay networks, DNS, IP address management, cloud-provider integration, and high-performance Linux networking. You will work on BGP announcements and private peering through kernel-level performance tuning, with the goal of making the network fast, reliable, secure, isolated, and easy to operate.
Key responsibilities include designing and validating public and private networks across platforms and clusters; managing ASNs, public IP prefixes, and private address space; building and operating BGP routing with route policies, communities, filtering, and traffic engineering; establishing private peering with customers, partners, data centers, and cloud providers; building private and overlay networks using VXLAN, IPsec, WireGuard, and Tailscale; operating DNS patterns including anycast and mDNS; tuning the Linux networking stack for high throughput and low latency; building network observability using metrics, logs, flow data, and packet captures; and developing reusable tooling, standards, and documentation.
You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to translate connectivity, security, isolation, and performance requirements into sound network designs. The role emphasizes using AI aggressively to automate and accelerate network provisioning, configuration, validation, monitoring, and recovery.
