BrightHire is a Series B, high-growth software company that created the Interview Intelligence category. The company transforms hiring for leading organizations including Canva, OpenAI, Ramp, and HubSpot by delivering AI-powered interview and candidate assessment tools. You'll own end-to-end delivery of customer-facing AI features, from early prototypes and prompt experiments through evaluation frameworks, backend systems, data modeling, and polished product interactions. Working closely with Product and Design, you'll move quickly, learn from users, and turn ambiguous AI product ideas into reliable, production-ready features. Key projects include: voice AI interviewers that create structured candidate conversations; automatic interview coaching with tailored feedback; AI-powered candidate skills matrices that map interview evidence to job requirements; natural language AI assistants for querying candidate and hiring data; and customizable interview summaries with customer-specific structure and tone. Responsibilities include prototyping and productionizing AI features across the full stack; designing prompt chains, retrieval flows, and eval harnesses; building backend systems, APIs, and data models; working with structured data (SQL), unstructured text (transcripts, notes), and customer configurations; evaluating AI outputs for accuracy, usefulness, tone, safety, and latency; partnering with Product and Design on user experience; iterating based on real customer usage; and making pragmatic technical decisions balancing speed, reliability, and quality. You bring real-world experience building generative AI applications end-to-end, including prompt engineering, prompt chains, evals, retrieval/vector search, and LLM workflows. Strong full-stack skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript are essential, along with comfort designing backend logic, data models, APIs, and system architecture. You work effectively with both structured and unstructured data, have strong product instincts, and care deeply about quality across accuracy, tone, safety, speed, and reliability. You move quickly and independently while knowing when to collaborate, and you have sharp judgment about LLM capabilities and limitations. The team operates in small, autonomous squads with flexibility to lead initiatives or focus as an individual contributor. Developer experience is prioritized with fast CI, 1-click deploys, strong observability, and clean codebases. The culture emphasizes sustainable work with fully remote roles, regular hours, no-meeting Wednesdays, and flexible time off.
