Mistral AI is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer focused on DevOps to drive customer adoption of its full-stack AI solutions and collaborate on complex technical challenges. You'll work directly with enterprise customers across finance, manufacturing, defense, healthcare, and the public sector to understand their needs and design customized AI systems.
In this role, you'll own end-to-end execution of high-stakes projects, spanning architecture discussions, data engineering, custom application development, customer engagement, and team strategy. Responsibilities include onboarding customers on Mistral products, providing deployment and integration guidance, ensuring optimal production setups from GPU infrastructure through backend and frontend interfaces, and deploying state-of-the-art AI applications across consumer and industrial use cases.
You'll collaborate with researchers, AI engineers, and product engineers on complex customer projects involving deployment, scaling, and contributions to open-source codebases for inference and fine-tuning. You'll also participate in pre-sales calls to understand client needs and provide technical guidance on Mistral technologies to diverse stakeholders.
Required qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 5+ years of DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering experience; proven expertise deploying and managing AI-based products in production; fluency in Python; hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment tools; deep understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises infrastructure; proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Ansible; strong communication skills explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences; fluency in English and Korean.
Ideal candidates have experience as Customer Engineers, Forward Deployed Engineers, Sales Engineers, Solutions Architects, or Technical Product Managers; familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow; and open-source contributions in DevOps or AI.
