CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Wire Harness Design Engineer to join their team in Westminster, Colorado. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will take full ownership of wire harness design projects, focusing on the critical power, digital, analog, and RF interconnects that integrate subsystems into complete platforms. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing comprehensive wire harness schematics and specifications
- Selecting appropriate connectors and cable types for mission-critical applications
- Creating detailed cable routing and harness assembly drawings
- Collaborating closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and harness assembly technicians throughout the design process
- Participating in design reviews and providing technical expertise to optimize performance and reliability
- Managing the full design lifecycle from initial specifications through integration and test phases
This is a hands-on role in a dynamic startup environment where you will work autonomously on high-impact aerospace hardware. The position offers the opportunity to develop cutting-edge systems for space applications with a collaborative, cross-functional team. You will engage directly with manufacturing and assembly teams to ensure designs are both technically sound and producible.
The role requires a U.S. citizen or eligible individual due to space technology export regulations (ITAR compliance).
