Polymarket is the world's largest prediction market platform, enabling users to trade on real-world outcomes across politics, economics, sports, and current affairs. The company processed $21B in trading volume in 2025 and is expanding rapidly. You will own the frontend of Polymarket's new perpetual futures product, building the trading interfaces that power daily trader activity. This high-ownership role spans frontend product development, backend collaboration, performance optimization, and reliability. Key responsibilities include: - Shipping complex trading UI features end-to-end: order books, position panels, trade history, funding rates, liquidation displays, and related components - Designing and implementing responsive UIs that handle live market data, streaming order books, and fast-moving prices accurately - Partnering with backend engineers on API design, real-time data flows, and reliable exchange systems - Collaborating with QA, product, and design teams on requirements, launches, and quality improvements - Monitoring dashboards, alerts, and user reports to identify and resolve issues quickly; supporting incident response - Building observability infrastructure: logs, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and error reporting for frontend performance visibility - Identifying technical debt, proposing pragmatic refactors, and contributing to frontend architecture evolution Required qualifications: - 3–5+ years of frontend web engineering experience - Strong hands-on expertise with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend development - Proven experience building trading, exchange, or financial product UIs with deep domain understanding - Strong frontend system design skills: state management, data fetching, caching, performance, reliability, maintainability - Experience with real-time data (WebSockets, streaming APIs, live market feeds) - Strong debugging and production issue response capabilities - Comfortable collaborating with backend engineers on APIs, data contracts, and system behavior - High agency and clear communication during planning, launches, and incidents Preferred: perpetuals exchange or derivatives trading UI experience, frontend performance specialization, crypto/Web3 background, frontend observability expertise, or proficiency with AI tools for engineering productivity.
