As a Senior V&V Engineer for Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) & Simulation, you will be responsible for designing and scaling the verification infrastructure that validates Gatik's autonomous transportation software before production deployment. Your primary focus will be leveraging Gatik Arena™ (the company's proprietary simulation platform) and SIL pipelines to stress-test the autonomy stack against synthetic scenarios, edge cases, and real-world log replays.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design and scale automated SIL testing pipelines integrated into cloud-based CI/CD workflows for daily regression testing and release gate evaluation
• Generate complex, high-fidelity synthetic scenarios covering urban/suburban middle-mile routes, edge cases, adverse weather, and severe traffic interactions using industry standards (OpenSCENARIO, ASAM)
• Build automated workflows to extract disengagements and interesting events from fleet logs, transforming them into parametric simulation test suites
• Validate autonomy stack performance across perception, planning, controls, and map execution against safety metrics and behavioral assertions
• Collaborate with simulator platform teams to validate simulator realism, sensor physics models, and vehicle dynamic fidelity against real-world data
• Develop automated verification dashboards (Grafana, SQL, Python) tracking pass/fail rates, safety violations, and coverage metrics across thousands of daily simulation runs
This is a full-time, onsite position requiring 5 days per week at the Santa Clara, CA office. The role requires 5+ years of experience in SIL testing, virtual simulation, or related verification domains, with a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or Data Science.
