Salary: USD 150,000 - 165,000 / annual
Foundation Source seeks a commercially-minded VP to own strategic client relationships and drive enterprise growth across their philanthropic solutions suite (Donor Advised Funds, private foundations, planned giving, and advisory services).
This is a high-autonomy leadership role reporting to C-Suite decision makers. You will set strategy and own results for the largest, most complex client relationships. The role emphasizes ownership, strategic thinking, and decisiveness—you identify growth opportunities, build execution plans, and drive outcomes with significant latitude to make key decisions.
Key Responsibilities (distributed across five pillars):
**Retention & Executive Relationships (20%):** Own strategic relationships with C-Suite decision makers. Serve as final escalation point to resolve issues with speed and authority. Set agendas for executive briefings demonstrating ROI. Own net retention targets. Shape product and strategic direction based on field intelligence.
**Growth (20%):** Identify and close upsell/cross-sell opportunities across the full suite. Build and execute your own account growth strategy. Proactively position new capabilities before clients ask. Own pricing accuracy and contract terms as a business extension.
**Onboarding & Implementation (20%):** Command the discovery process. Drive implementation to deadline with fast escalation. Hold the line on scope and manage scope creep. Lead setup of new philanthropic vehicles with precision.
**Account Management End-to-End (20%):** Set engagement cadence (minimum monthly touchpoints). Lead Quarterly Business Reviews that sell future vision. Maintain sharp CRM discipline (opportunities, renewal risk, relationship health). Identify and act on risk proactively. Own client engagement through technical releases and UAT coordination.
**Collaboration (20%):** Bring strategic voice to product, advisory, and legal conversations. Partner with senior leadership to influence enterprise segment strategy. Provide clear insights on what enterprise clients actually need.
Travel up to 15% required. Remote role with dedicated workspace and high-speed internet required.
**Requirements:**
- Executive presence and confidence to operate as peer to C-Suite leaders
- Proven track record driving revenue outcomes and owning a book of business with authority
- Strategic, big-picture thinking paired with decisiveness
- Deep knowledge of philanthropic giving vehicles (DAFs, private foundations, planned giving, advisory structures) or ability to master quickly
- Competitive drive and genuine need to win
- Strong negotiation instincts and persuasive skills with skeptical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple high-stakes accounts simultaneously while maintaining strategic focus
- Bias toward action and decisive decision-making
- Fluency with CRM tools as a command center
