Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager for Mathematical Software & Algorithms to oversee the development and delivery of Battlespace Awareness software for critical defense programs. This role sits at the intersection of technical depth and program leadership, requiring someone with strong software development expertise—particularly in optimization and estimation algorithms—combined with proven ability to manage complex, multi-team projects with diverse stakeholders.
You will serve as the linchpin ensuring that advanced algorithms for sense-making and decision-making at tactical timelines are developed on schedule and meet all technical, functional, and business requirements. Your responsibilities span project leadership and strategy, including developing detailed execution plans for feature development, testing, validation, deployment, and monitoring. You'll maintain deep technical understanding of underlying algorithms and software interfaces for battle management, threat prediction, tracking, and classification to ensure effective integration with the larger command-and-control system.
Key responsibilities include: establishing clear objectives and deliverables aligned with program needs; staying current on latest algorithmic techniques and working with subject matter experts to incorporate innovations; ensuring comprehensive technical documentation and continuously improving project management processes; overseeing release planning and execution while maintaining quality standards; serving as primary point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders with regular status updates and risk reporting; assessing and allocating resources (personnel, software, hardware) while monitoring utilization; identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies; and facilitating cross-functional collaboration across divisions to ensure software supports program priorities and integration requirements.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll work directly with engineers, mathematicians, and defense stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, and sensor fusion capabilities to the military.
