Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Test & Evaluation Engineer to lead critical test campaigns for the Army's Next Generation Command & Control (NGC2) system, Menace Family of Systems, and connected warfare products. You will manage end-to-end testing from lab-based hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) integration through field validation, ensuring systems meet stringent DoD standards.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing system integration, developmental, operational, and customer acceptance tests for Eagle Eye and related products. You will create requirements-based, scenario-driven test methods that incorporate customer standards, manage traceability, and establish robust test metrics. The role involves overseeing Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), managing test incidents, tracking deficiencies, and coordinating with internal teams and external agencies.
You will analyze system performance data in both lab and field environments, delivering actionable insights and formal test reports. You'll represent the team at reviews, readiness boards, and milestone decision points, ensuring safe and effective test execution. Collaboration is essential—you'll work closely with Program Management, Development Engineering, Network Engineering, Architects, Systems Engineers, external test ranges, and government partners.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Systems, Electrical, or Computer Engineering (advanced degree preferred), 5+ years in system-level test and evaluation of integrated hardware/software systems, and extensive hands-on experience with developmental and operational test events in lab and field environments. Strong background in requirements development, test planning, verification/validation, and traceability management is essential. You must have familiarity with RF communications, tactical datalinks, and networked C2 systems in DoD operational settings, plus demonstrated experience leading test efforts to guide product designs.
Specialized expertise required includes system-level environmental testing (climatic, mechanical/dynamic, ingress protection, corrosion & UV testing), network and packet-level analysis (packet capture, loss, latency, jitter, completion), and strong data analysis and reporting capabilities. You should be proficient in defining and reporting test metrics such as test coverage, requirements verification, and defect closure rates. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to brief senior stakeholders are critical. Willingness to travel as needed and an active or immediately eligible U.S. Secret security clearance are required.
