Senra Systems is building the future of electrical wire harness manufacturing through software-driven configuration and automation. The company transforms skilled assembly tasks into high-throughput production lines, enabling customers to design and deliver custom harness builds at record speed.
We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to serve as a key technical leader of our growing test organization. This role goes beyond executing test programs—you will be the senior technical authority for electrical test across the factory, responsible for establishing best practices, reviewing and approving test programs, solving complex technical problems, and mentoring the next generation of Test Specialists.
You will partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, and Program Management to ensure every harness leaves the factory with robust, repeatable, and scalable verification processes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Technical Leadership:** Serve as the senior subject matter expert for electrical test. Review and approve test programs developed by other specialists. Establish and continuously improve standards, templates, and best practices for test program development, fixture design, troubleshooting, and documentation. Lead technical investigations for complex electrical failures and first-build challenges. Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to improve product testability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
**Test Program Development & Fixture Ownership:** Author and maintain test programs for the Cirris CH2 platform across all active part numbers, including continuity, shorts, resistance verification, and high-voltage testing. Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and interface adapters. Maintain strict revision control and develop hipot test setups per customer and program requirements.
**Test Execution:** Own end-to-line and in-process electrical testing while developing repeatable workflows. Execute testing using automated and manual equipment. Perform electrical and mechanical verification per IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards. Ensure equipment safety and calibration compliance.
**First Article & Customer Support:** Lead electrical verification for First Article Inspections. Serve as senior technical representative during customer witness testing. Partner with Quality and Engineering to resolve technical questions.
**Documentation & Quality:** Generate and review test reports, Certificates of Conformance, and Nonconformance Reports. Ensure traceability between test data, program revisions, and engineering documentation. Maintain AS9100 compliance records.
**Mentorship & Team Development:** Mentor Test Specialists through hands-on coaching and technical reviews. Serve as first escalation point for complex troubleshooting. Provide technical onboarding and foster a culture of excellence.
**Equipment Stewardship:** Own calibration status, fixture inventory, consumables, and 5S standards for the test area. Coordinate maintenance and recommend new equipment and technologies.
