AEVEX Aerospace is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and validate automated and manual test systems for embedded military systems and circuit card assemblies. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and performance of specialized aviation and remote sensing solutions.
Key responsibilities include analyzing embedded military systems to define and implement effective test methods; designing and developing test environments, fixtures, and equipment; authoring and maintaining detailed test procedures, reports, and documentation; planning, overseeing, and executing qualification and production testing; and providing Design for Testability input during design reviews.
You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and purchasing teams, manage schedules and budgets for assigned tasks, specify and evaluate supplier components and test-related services, and provide training to manufacturing engineering teams. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet technical, cost, and schedule goals.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related field) and 9+ years of electrical/test engineering experience. You must be proficient in developing automated test systems using NI LabVIEW, TestStand, and PLC; familiar with modeling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Cameo; and skilled with Microsoft Office and agile tools like Jira. Background in IEEE 323, IEEE 344, and MIL-STD-461 standards is a plus.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD security clearance, and U.S. citizenship is required. The role is based in Tampa, Florida, and involves regular on-site presence.
