Scopely, a leading video game and interactive entertainment company, is seeking a Senior Technology Auditor to support the expansion of its Internal Audit function. Based in Barcelona (reporting to the Director of Technology Internal Audit), this role is instrumental in evaluating the technology, security, and AI environment that Scopely's games and platforms operate on.
You will lead the execution of technology-focused operational audits, including performing walkthroughs with engineering and platform owners, evaluating technology risk and controls, and documenting findings. Key responsibilities include assessing controls in public cloud environments (AWS/GCP), including identity and access management, network configurations, logging and monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code considerations. You will evaluate how changes move through CI/CD pipelines and identify critical control and risk points.
You will perform audits across security domains including vulnerability and patch management, endpoint security, incident response, backup and disaster recovery, and third-party risk. You'll analyze root causes of control deficiencies and propose pragmatic, technology-driven remediation strategies, leveraging AI tools and advanced analytics to enhance audit effectiveness.
Collaboration is central to the role: you will work closely with Technology, Security, AI, Infrastructure, and other key stakeholder functions to understand workflows and verify that technology risks are managed effectively. You'll prepare clear, comprehensive workpapers and audit reports for senior leadership, and maintain continuous awareness of gaming industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in audit technology.
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years of progressive professional experience in technology audit, technology risk, or security assurance (Big 4 or in-house technology audit preferred), with foundational understanding of Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS) and governance frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, NIST, and ISO27001. Practical familiarity with AWS and/or GCP is required, along with understanding of modern software development practices (version control, code review, automated testing, deployment pipelines). Experience auditing controls in engineering-driven organizations is essential. Ability to work with data using SQL, Python, or similar is a strong plus. A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field is required. Professional certification (CISA, CPA) or demonstrated interest in obtaining one is highly desirable. You must communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, work collaboratively across international teams and time zones, and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
