As a Senior Technical Sourcer, you will be a strategic talent partner responsible for identifying, engaging, and building pipelines of world-class technical talent. You'll collaborate closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and technical leaders to deeply understand role requirements and develop proactive sourcing strategies that fuel both immediate hiring needs and long-term growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing strategies for technical roles across engineering, data, product, AI, and specialized functions
- Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and talent mapping to inform hiring strategies
- Proactively identify and engage passive candidates through creative outreach across LinkedIn, GitHub, and other talent networks
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to align on candidate profiles and refine search strategies
- Build and nurture long-term talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles
- Champion diversity sourcing initiatives to attract underrepresented technical talent
- Track, analyze, and report on sourcing metrics to optimize outreach effectiveness
- Maintain accurate candidate data and activity tracking in recruiting systems
- Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the recruiting team
The role is based in the NYC office with a hybrid environment requiring a minimum of three coordinated days in-office per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday). Up to four weeks per year of fully remote work is available.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience sourcing for technical roles (software engineering, infrastructure, data, product, AI) in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced sourcing techniques, Boolean search, talent mapping, and market research
- Strong understanding of technical skill sets, engineering org structures, and emerging technology trends
- Proven ability to engage and convert passive candidates through thoughtful, personalized outreach
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence technical leaders
- Data-driven mindset with experience using sourcing metrics to refine strategy
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority searches simultaneously while maintaining quality
Bonus qualifications: Experience sourcing for AI/ML or emerging technical domains; recruiting across multiple geographies (US, Canada, LATAM); familiarity with Gem, Greenhouse, or modern sourcing platforms; experience with employer branding or talent marketing initiatives.
