Saronic Technologies, a leader in autonomous surface vessels for maritime defense, is seeking a Senior People Operations Generalist to support a broad range of HR functions in a fast-growing, high-impact environment. You will own the day-to-day administration of people operations, including HRIS management, employee onboarding and offboarding, compliance, and HR policy development. This is a hands-on senior role requiring both deep HR expertise and the judgment to operate independently while navigating complex issues in a rapidly scaling organization. Key responsibilities include: - Administer and maintain HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy - Manage full onboarding and offboarding workflows, including background checks, drug screens, and I-9 administration - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international employment laws and regulations - Maintain organized, confidential employee records (physical and digital) - Develop and implement HR policies and procedures; stay current on industry trends and best practices - Support ad hoc HR projects including engagement surveys, employee initiatives, and internal communications - Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and systems - Collaborate cross-functionally with Recruiting, Payroll, and Legal to ensure alignment across the employee lifecycle This role is ideal for someone who combines process excellence with the ability to build structure and drive initiatives in a dynamic, high-growth startup environment. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field - 5–7 years of HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment, with a track record of leading HR initiatives - Familiarity with U.S. employment laws and regulations; international employment law experience or global workforce management experience preferred - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information - Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite - Comfortable working independently and building structure and process in a fast-paced, high-growth environment - U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, green card holder, or protected asylee/refugee status) due to access to export-controlled information
