CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to build and manage a pipeline of top-tier technical talent for the aerospace and space technology sector. The company develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms.
In this role, you will partner closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to identify, attract, and hire exceptional engineers and technical professionals across aerospace disciplines. You will own full-cycle recruitment activities, from sourcing and screening candidates through offer negotiation. Your responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and develop targeted recruitment strategies
- Proactively sourcing and engaging top-tier technical candidates using job boards, social media, industry conferences, networking events, and creative outreach
- Assessing the technical capabilities and aptitude of candidates for complex engineering roles
- Conducting full-cycle recruitment: screening, interviewing coordination, candidate evaluation, and offer extension
- Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of qualified candidates in engineering, software development, and aerospace disciplines
- Managing multiple high-priority technical requisitions simultaneously
- Utilizing advanced sourcing techniques including cold calling, networking event planning, and industry expert identification
- Supporting additional functions as needed in a high-growth startup environment
This is a multifaceted position requiring strong technical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, outstanding communication abilities, and the capacity to assess and promote CesiumAstro's value proposition to candidates.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical recruiting within aerospace, space, and/or defense industries
- Prior career experience in aerospace or similar fields working in relevant engineering disciplines
- Demonstrated experience recruiting for aerospace, electrical, mechanical, software, and other engineering positions (strong preference for electrical engineering experience, including Digital Hardware, Power Electronics, FPGA, RF, and Antenna Design)
- Strong networking skills and ability to connect with passive candidates
- Proven full-cycle recruiting experience (screening, hiring manager consultation, interview facilitation, offer extension)
- Demonstrated recruiting techniques: cold calling, networking event planning, industry expert location, creative sourcing campaigns
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority technical requisitions concurrently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- U.S. citizenship or eligible immigration status (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, conditional resident, asylee, or refugee; or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations)
