Allocate is modernizing private markets by making alternative investments more accessible for wealth advisory firms and family offices. The company is building an AI-native product organization that operates at startup velocity—moving from idea to prototype to client feedback to production in days, not months.
As Senior Technical Project Manager, you will serve as a force multiplier and operator at the center of product, engineering, design, and leadership. Your core mission is to increase the velocity of the product organization by identifying friction, removing blockers, accelerating decisions, and compressing feedback loops.
This is not a traditional project management role. You will work alongside makers—not above them—operating as a technical operator who helps ideas move from concept to shipped product as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Key responsibilities include: driving rapid feedback loops between prototyping, client input, and production; keeping multiple parallel workstreams moving without bottlenecks; removing same-day blockers for makers; providing leadership with signal-focused visibility; creating clarity in ambiguous environments; surfacing risks and dependencies early; protecting team focus; helping prioritize high-impact work; treating process as a product and continuously improving it; using AI tools (Cursor, v0, Claude) to prototype, draft specs, and unblock the team; contributing directly to delivery rather than only coordinating; experimenting with new AI tooling and sharing learnings; identifying where AI can eliminate manual overhead; and evolving tools and workflows as the organization scales.
Success means the team ships better products faster. Within months, work that took weeks happens in days, blockers disappear before slowing progress, and engineers/designers/product managers spend more time building and less time coordinating.
You bring: experience shipping real products in fast-moving startup environments (early-stage strongly preferred); a maker mindset; strong familiarity with modern AI tooling and curiosity about how it changes software development; comfort using AI tools daily; strong judgment about pace; ability to hold context across business, product, design, and engineering; excellent async-first communication; comfort in ambiguity; high ownership; distributed team experience; and a Bachelor's degree (CS, Engineering, Business, or equivalent).
