Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company develops un-crewed maritime and air domain systems leveraging unsupervised autonomy, including the Extra Large Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (XL-AUV) Program.
In this role, you will serve as a Senior Technical Program Manager responsible for end-to-end project delivery across autonomous systems and robotics programs. You will run day-to-day schedules and engineering management of integrated project teams, planning and coordinating complex test events involving software and hardware components.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing schedules and engineering coordination for integrated project teams
- Planning, coordinating, and executing multi-level software and hardware test events
- Demonstrating high ownership across work streams and serving as a trusted partner to engineers
- Autonomously executing on broad and ambiguous requirements from internal engineering, program offices, and third-party corporate partners
- Identifying, resolving, and escalating key cross-team dependencies
- Removing obstacles to drive clarity and progress; managing issue escalations and supporting teams with competing priorities
- Partnering deeply with engineering leaders to drive successful program execution and team velocity across software teams and departments
- Managing and accelerating cross-team projects spanning multiple functional teams and cross-functional initiatives
- Identifying and resolving systemic execution issues requiring broader initiatives
- Partnering with product leads to scope, staff, and deliver capabilities aligned with company milestones
- Collaborating with hardware, product, and test operations teams
- Tracking and communicating program progress; defining efficient communication processes for group program status
- Understanding technical implementation at the architectural level and proposing technical alternatives when necessary
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer in autonomous systems, robotics, or software development environments
- Solid technical aptitude with ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges, and risks
- Ability to work closely and effectively with engineering teams
- Strong project management experience with practical familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Ability to obtain and maintain an NV2 Security Clearance
Preferred qualifications:
- Understanding of test and integration of complex systems
- Ability to work within organizations with minimal structure and minimal direction
- Experience building programs for software deliverables from the ground up
- Experience creating communication plans for various stakeholder levels
- Strong technical, analytical, and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline
