True Anomaly is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join the Security & Infrastructure PMO, embedded with the Application Security and Platform Security teams in Long Beach. You will drive execution of security initiatives from intake through delivery, manage operational rhythms, coordinate cross-functional dependencies, and provide leadership with current, risk-flagged program visibility.
Application Security owns secure development practices, product and application security programs, vulnerability management, and codebase/pipeline controls. Platform Security owns cloud and platform security, identity and access management, infrastructure hardening, and operational processes. Your role is to make both teams more predictable and effective by converting technical work into tracked, milestone-oriented programs and surfacing conflicts early.
You will serve as both an engagement manager and product manager: the company's software engineering teams are your customers, and you help understand their needs and shape how security capabilities are delivered. While your primary charter is Application Security and Platform Security, you should expect to flex across other Security & Infrastructure programs as portfolio priorities shift, bringing consistent execution rigor wherever needed.
Key responsibilities include: owning end-to-end delivery for security initiatives with program plans and dependency maps in Jira; running operational cadences (sprint grooming, weekly status, quarterly planning); partnering on effort estimation and resource alignment; managing cross-functional dependencies with software engineering, IT, GRC, cloud/platform teams, and external vendors; producing leadership-ready program visibility with milestone orientation and risk flagging; and supporting the PMO Lead on roadmap planning and prioritization.
This is a dedicated but dynamic role requiring deep context in security program management and the ability to adapt as organizational priorities shift.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years combining application and platform security with technical program management of that work—deep expertise in at least one domain (secure SDLC, vulnerability management, CI/CD pipeline security; cloud and infrastructure security, identity and access management), with credible knowledge of the other and a track record of owning and running programs end to end
- Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent workstreams with cross-functional dependencies and external stakeholders
- Strong Jira or equivalent proficiency; able to build and maintain structured tracking across multi-team portfolios
- Comfortable operating where scope, priorities, and assignments shift with portfolio demand
- Clear, direct communicator; able to simplify complex status for executive audiences and push back when warranted
- U.S. citizenship required; clearable required
- Must be located near Long Beach; hybrid work environment with some on-site requirement
PREFERRED:
- Prior experience as an information security engineer who has moved into technical program management (preferred over pure TPM background without hands-on security experience)
- Familiarity working directly with software engineering and platform/DevOps teams
- Familiarity with NIST RMF, FedRAMP, or federal compliance environments
- Experience in defense technology, aerospace, or DoD contractor environments
