Second Front Systems is a fast-growing defence technology company seeking a Senior Technical Implementation Engineer to join its UK team. This individual contributor role focuses on deploying and scaling the Game Warden DevSecOps platform within UK government, NATO, and secure cloud environments. You will manage the full lifecycle of technical implementations from initial scoping through live deployment, serving as the primary technical point of contact for UK customers. Responsibilities include hands-on Kubernetes expertise across deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in classified and sensitive environments; coordinating technical requirements across Product, Engineering, and Growth teams; implementing process improvements based on customer feedback; and developing UK-specific deployment patterns and documentation. The role requires 5+ years of experience in technical implementation, DevOps, or related engineering disciplines, with demonstrated ability to deliver complex projects independently. Essential skills include strong hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Keycloak, and container orchestration; multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP); familiarity with UK government security frameworks and accreditation processes (JSP 604, Secure By Design); and proficiency with Git, JIRA, and project management tools. You should have excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior government personnel. The role demands high personal accountability, resilience, and comfort operating autonomously in a fast-moving, distributed team. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent demonstrable experience) is required; relevant certifications such as CKA, AWS, or Azure are advantageous. This is a hybrid role based in the UK with frequent travel to customer and partner sites across the UK and NATO. The position requires UK nationality (or dual nationality with UK) and eligibility for Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance; active DV clearance is strongly preferred.
