Unite Us is seeking a Senior Technical Implementation Architect, Interoperability to serve as the primary technical owner for strategic customer implementations in the healthcare interoperability space. This is a hands-on technical role within the Product Delivery department that combines deep technical expertise with customer-facing leadership.
You will lead interoperability planning and technical execution from discovery through successful delivery for enterprise customers. Key responsibilities include evaluating technical feasibility of complex interoperability requirements, analyzing solution tradeoffs, and recommending technical approaches aligned with customer needs and platform capabilities. You'll participate in technical discovery sessions and interoperability workshops with customer technical leaders, implementation partners, vendors, and internal cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership and expertise.
The role requires analyzing and interpreting technical artifacts including API specifications, FHIR Implementation Guides, authentication workflows, application logs, JSON payloads, and system interactions to develop recommendations and troubleshoot challenges. You'll navigate multi-stakeholder technical ecosystems, driving alignment across customer, partner, and internal teams while balancing objectives, constraints, and delivery timelines.
You'll translate complex business and technical requirements into practical implementation strategies by identifying risks, dependencies, and integration patterns. This includes exercising independent technical judgment to determine when cross-functional engagement is needed and coordinating appropriate internal stakeholders. You'll develop implementation documentation, technical presentations, and reference materials, and improve delivery by identifying reusable patterns, automation opportunities, and technical tooling needs.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years leading customer-facing technical implementations, enterprise integrations, or interoperability initiatives. You should have demonstrated experience as the primary technical owner for enterprise interoperability implementations, with deep understanding of REST APIs, HL7 FHIR, SMART on FHIR, US Core, HL7v2, identity/authentication protocols, enterprise integration patterns, and healthcare data exchange. Strong ability to interpret engineering documentation and communicate technical concepts to both customers and internal stakeholders is essential.
