ClickHouse, a Forbes Cloud 100 company and leader in real-time analytics and data warehousing, is seeking a Senior Technical Customer Support Engineer focused on U.S. federal and public-sector customers. This role serves as the primary technical point of contact for government agencies, federal contractors, and integrators deploying ClickHouse in compliance-constrained environments.
You will triage and resolve complex technical support cases across ClickHouse Cloud and open-source deployments, with particular expertise in government-authorized infrastructure such as AWS GovCloud and FedRAMP-compliant environments. Responsibilities include guiding customers through secure deployment and operational best practices, developing solutions and documentation tailored to federal deployment patterns, and supporting technical aspects of security questionnaires and Authority to Operate (ATO) evaluations.
You'll work closely with global Support Services, Engineering, Security/Compliance, Product Management, and Go-To-Market teams to represent federal customer requirements and help shape the product roadmap. This includes on-call coverage, SLA-driven response times, and building trusted relationships with government stakeholders, systems integrators, and resellers.
Required qualifications include U.S. Person status (verified during interview), technical depth in ClickHouse, SQL databases, OLAP, cloud-native systems, or distributed systems. Prior experience as a Support Engineer, Consultant, Database Administrator, SRE, Solutions Engineer, or Software Engineer is expected. Proven familiarity with federal IT operational and compliance realities (FedRAMP, DOD IL, AWS GovCloud, air-gapped deployments) is essential. Strong communication skills, sound judgment around sensitive data, and a collaborative problem-solving mindset are critical.
Bonus experience includes prior support for federal, SLED, or public-sector customers, and hands-on work with FedRAMP-authorized services or sovereign/air-gapped cloud environments.
