Clio is hiring a Senior Technical Consultant for Clio Operate in APAC, based in Sydney. This is a foundational role shaping how the company implements, configures, and delivers its adaptive work management platform across enterprise customers in the region.
Clio Operate is a cutting-edge cloud-based platform that empowers large law firms to build tailored case management solutions and work process management systems. The platform enables firms to manage more cases with the same resources, improve profitability, and deliver better client experiences.
You are a full-stack software developer comfortable writing code and working directly with customers. You've delivered real-world software, supported live systems, and worked on projects at scale. You bring strong technical skills in C#, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, paired with empathy, curiosity, and communication skills that make you a trusted technical partner.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support 2nd and 3rd line technical escalations, working with engineering teams to identify and resolve issues
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across the full stack (UI to database)
- Build relationships with customers and help them succeed with Clio Operate
- Develop custom UI elements and workflows using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Create server-side plugins in C# to expose APIs, integrate systems, or implement custom business logic
- Contribute to technical documentation and video tutorials
- Partner with product teams to promote client-specific innovations into the core platform
- Help non-technical team members build knowledge of the Operate platform
- Utilize and contribute to AI tooling to improve efficiency
Required qualifications:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong skills in C#, .NET, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and SQL Server
- Solid understanding of OOP principles and clean coding
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Comfort working directly with customers to gather requirements and provide support
- Experience delivering and supporting software in production environments
Bonus qualifications:
- Prior experience in customer-facing technical roles (implementation consulting, solution support)
- Strong SQL tuning skills (execution plans, logical reads, indexing)
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or performance-critical applications
- Open-source contributions or GitHub portfolio
- Familiarity with Azure, DevOps, or cloud-based delivery models
- Demonstrated interest in improving craft through AI tools
