Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to drive the development and delivery of unmanned maritime systems powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system for real-time command and control. This role focuses on subsurface and maritime domain capabilities leveraging unsupervised autonomy for long-endurance, multi-mission platforms.
You will own end-to-end technology solutions deployed to military customers, serving as a subject matter expert across hardware selection, integration, testing, robotic perception, engineering processes, and cybersecurity. Your responsibilities include architecting and designing integrated systems that rapidly deliver capability beyond current platforms, with clear paths for evolution. You'll contribute to reusable technology components across Anduril's product lines and design development processes for complex robotic systems, including full lifecycle testing, monitoring, and operation.
Key responsibilities: own customer-deployed technology solutions; act as SME for your expertise domains; balance end-user needs with multi-stakeholder constraints; design and architect integrated systems including advanced platforms and payloads; contribute to cross-product reusable components; design and execute development processes for robotic systems; support manufacturing, testing, and deployment; mentor engineers from diverse backgrounds; travel up to 20% to co-locate with end-users.
Required: Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent; 8+ years of professional engineering experience in one or more domains/technologies; demonstrated ownership of complex systems across design, integration, test, and delivery; ability to work holistically on robotic systems across design, implementation, operation, and sustainment; capacity to act as technical owner for complex subsystems including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, and team coordination; mentoring capability and individual growth mindset; eligibility for and ability to obtain/maintain active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Preferred: experience with robotic and/or autonomous systems design and support; background in defense, maritime, or aerospace domains; product delivery lifecycle experience including manufacturing, acceptance, deployment, and sustainment; interest in growth toward Principal Systems Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Tech-Lead-Manager roles.
