VAST Data is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its infrastructure team during a period of rapid growth in the AI era. The company builds enterprise data management software designed to capture, catalog, refine, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training/inference across data center, edge, and cloud environments.
In this role, you will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings in DAS, NAS, and SAN spaces. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist customers with system evaluations, benchmarks, configurations, and installations
- Work closely with R&D Engineering to define product requirements and usability, including creation of product specification documents
- Participate in sales strategy and tactics, owning technical responsibilities within customer accounts
- Demonstrate technical leadership and deep expertise in storage infrastructure
- Create architecture "blueprints" for repeatable solutions that the Sales team will deliver to customers
- Help develop a dispersed group of system and field engineers
- Consult on forming, building, and managing a Support organization
