VAST Data is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its infrastructure team supporting the AI revolution. The role combines customer-facing technical leadership with internal product development collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
• Customer Support & Deployment: Lead customer evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, and installations. Serve as the primary technical contact for customer accounts, owning technical responsibilities and ensuring successful deployments.
• Product Development: Work closely with VAST's R&D Engineering team to define product requirements, usability improvements, and system specifications. Contribute to product roadmap decisions based on customer feedback and market needs.
• Technical Leadership: Demonstrate deep expertise in storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings across DAS, NAS, and SAN product spaces. Serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader.
• Solution Architecture: Create repeatable architecture "blueprints" and reference designs that the Sales team can deliver to the customer community. Establish best practices and standardized approaches for common deployment scenarios.
• Sales Enablement: Participate in developing sales strategy and tactics. Provide technical guidance to support the sales organization in closing deals and positioning VAST's capabilities.
• Team Development: Help build and mentor a dispersed group of systems and field engineers. Contribute to organizational scaling as the company grows.
• Support Strategy: Consult on forming, building, and managing the Support organization to ensure customer success at scale.
