XTEND is developing cutting-edge airborne systems that redefine human-machine interaction. We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to lead the development of sophisticated airborne solutions and push the boundaries of flight technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development of innovative and complex airborne systems from concept through production
- Develop comprehensive system requirements aligned with customer needs and product definitions
- Facilitate program management by developing integration plans, identifying timelines, resources, and equipment requirements
- Define and lead system-level test plans to validate engineering designs against requirements
- Collaborate with R&D and Line of Business managers to ensure timely project delivery
- Design and execute experiments, tests, studies, and analytical investigations with clear results and analysis
- Compile and present test data from design validations to peer engineering groups
- Work with multi-disciplined engineering teams to develop solutions from POC through customer implementation
- Create documentation for manufacturing, installation, technical support, training, and final design
- Support products through entire lifecycle: customer installation, upgrades, service escalations, and EOL
- Provide regular project status updates to leadership
Requirements:
- B.Sc in engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, or similar UAV-related field)
- 6 years of project management experience in engineering/development projects
- 2 years of design and project management experience with UAVs or systems of similar complexity
- 2 years of experience designing and releasing parts for fabrication and mass production
- Experience with aircraft design, performance analysis, and/or construction
- Experience deriving software and hardware requirements from product initiatives
- Experience creating production-quality engineering documentation
- Proficiency creating and executing schedules in Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
- Experience with gated design development processes (PDR, CDR)
- Strong people and communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively on a team
