Kela Technologies is a defense technology startup building next-generation command & control and data infrastructure systems for defense organizations. As a Senior System Engineer, you will serve as the technical lead and single point of ownership for entire product lines, driving projects through every stage of the lifecycle—from initial customer engagements to development, field deployment, and ongoing support.
You will own full lifecycle responsibility for multi-disciplinary system projects, translating customer requirements into detailed specifications and system architecture. Working at breakneck speed, you'll make swift engineering trade-offs that balance system complexity with high agility and a strong bias for action. Rather than handing off specifications, you'll actively collaborate with development teams throughout implementation, guiding execution to ensure it matches the intended architecture.
Key responsibilities include developing detailed system specifications and architecture for robust, scalable, and secure platforms that integrate diverse sensors and AI to deliver real-time battlefield intelligence. You'll configure and integrate hardware and software components across complex systems, ensure platforms meet stringent security standards and high availability requirements, and take charge of product lines by pushing initiatives through and aligning development, operations, and field teams.
This role combines technical depth with leadership scope—you'll be the technical authority for your product areas, working across engineering, operations, and field teams to deliver mission-critical systems.
