Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Senior Supply Planner to join its Sydney-based Supply Chain team. The role focuses on planning and sourcing materials for rapidly iterating autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) hardware. You will own the entire value chain from raw materials through finished goods, with full responsibility for specific assemblies and product lines. Key responsibilities include partnering with design and manufacturing engineers to accelerate product development through bottom-up cost modeling, supplier benchmarking, and feasibility assessment. You will own and maintain the line of balance (LOB) for assigned programs, ensuring material availability synchronizes with the master build schedule. This role requires serving as the connective tissue between procurement, production, and engineering—translating build requirements into actionable supply plans and driving resolution when gaps threaten schedule. You will drive clear-to-build (CTB) reviews ahead of each build phase, confirming all materials and long-lead items are on hand or on track. Collaboration with procurement on expediting, re-sequencing, or sourcing alternatives when supply risks emerge is critical. The role includes tracking and reporting schedule adherence metrics (OTD, CTB pass rate, LOB health) and driving root cause analysis on misses. You will maintain MRP/ERP system accuracy—planned orders, lead times, safety stock parameters, and demand signals aligned to current program baselines. Additional responsibilities span cost engineering activities to converge bottom-up cost curves to product cost, maximizing total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle, and supporting new product introduction (NPI) builds by developing initial supply plans from early-stage BOMs and engineering change orders. Required qualifications include 7+ years in supply planning, production planning, or materials management within complex hardware manufacturing, preferably defense or aerospace. Demonstrated experience managing LOB and CTB processes across multi-level BOMs with long-lead and constrained materials is essential. You should have a track record of maintaining build schedule adherence in rate production or NPI environments, familiarity with high-tech products in high-mix, low-volume environments, and prior knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems. A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field is required; professional certifications (CPIM, CSCP, CPSM) or advanced degree strongly preferred. Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance is required. Soft skills include strong communication abilities to present material risk and recovery plans to program managers and senior leadership, comfort operating in ambiguity during early-stage programs with evolving BOMs, and a collaborative mindset with bias for action.
