REGENT is developing Seagliders—wing-in-ground-effect aircraft that travel just above water surfaces, combining airplane speed (180 mph) with boat-like operating costs. The company is scaling from prototype to full production and seeking a Senior Structures Engineer to lead composite structural analysis efforts.
In this role, you will own critical structural analyses for flight-capable hardware, executing composite FEM across static, buckling, modal, and fatigue load cases. You'll drive sizing and margins trade studies, support certification-focused analysis and documentation, and help scale analysis throughput as the company expands across multiple programs.
Key responsibilities include: executing composite structural analysis and translating results into design guidance; owning margins and substantiation for primary and secondary structure; delivering analyses supporting major milestones; developing and maintaining analysis models, assumptions, and documentation; collaborating with loads, manufacturing, and certification teams; and contributing to process improvements that reduce bottlenecks.
You bring significant experience in composite structures analysis, strong FEM expertise (static, buckling, modal, fatigue), and experience managing global vehicle FEM models. You have working knowledge of composite materials and processes (prepreg, RTM, infusion, autoclave, OOA) and their influence on allowables and structural behavior. You understand laminate theory, load paths, and structural sizing for flight-capable hardware across the product lifecycle. You're familiar with requirements, loads/margins workflows, and certification-oriented practices.
