Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, serving legal professionals and law firms worldwide with over US$500M in ARR. This Senior Strategy & Operations Associate role sits at the intersection of corporate strategy and hands-on AI implementation, partnering with Clio's AI Centre of Excellence to identify high-value opportunities and build solutions that drive organizational transformation. In this role, you will work directly with C-suite leadership and cross-functional teams to shape corporate strategy, set OKRs, build business cases, and support business review rituals. You'll move from strategic vision to working solutions by engaging teams to understand problems, defining clear directions, measuring impact, and iterating on prototypes. Key responsibilities include: - Partner with teams through the AI Centre of Excellence to identify valuable opportunities for AI-enabled workflows, define problems and desired outcomes, and chart practical paths to delivery - Design, prototype, and ship AI-enabled solutions such as internal agents, research workflows, and process automations that teams can adopt and use - Apply systems thinking to connect processes, data, tools, and decision points; work from first principles when paths are unclear - Test solutions with users, verify outputs, document limitations and safeguards, and ensure work is maintainable for adoption beyond initial pilots - Contribute to strategic projects including market assessments, expansion planning, product and business strategy, investment cases, and performance analysis - Support leaders in preparing for planning cycles, OKRs, business reviews, and executive discussions by translating evidence into clear insights and actionable recommendations You'll be supported with advanced AI models and a modern tech stack, working in a hybrid environment with expectations to be in-office (Vancouver, Toronto, or other Clio locations) a minimum of twice per week. REQUIREMENTS: - Demonstrated evidence of building and delivering solutions others use, ideally AI-enabled workflows, agents, automations, or internal tools; ability to articulate the problem solved, your role, how you tested it, and outcomes - Technical fluency sufficient to prototype and deliver directly, and to collaborate effectively with technical partners on deeper engineering or integration - Strong analytical and strategic judgment: ability to structure ambiguous problems, work with business data, test assumptions, and make clear recommendations - Cross-functional capability: ability to work across domains, earn stakeholder trust, and adapt solutions based on how people actually work - Sound judgment regarding accuracy, confidential information, responsible AI use, and where human review remains necessary - Clear writing and communication skills, able to explain both strategic recommendations and the workings and limits of solutions - Background in strategy and operations, product, consulting, solutions delivery, or similar roles combining business judgment with hands-on building BONUS QUALIFICATIONS: - MBA - Direct experience with AI, SaaS, or Legal tech companies - Experience taking internal solutions from prototype through adoption and handoff
