Matillion is seeking a Senior Strategy & Business Operations Analyst to serve as the analytical backbone for executive leadership. Reporting directly to the VP of Strategy & Business Operations, you will drive independent investigations into critical, high-impact business topics and influence decisions at the highest levels through rigorous analysis, sharp communication, and executive presence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Quarterbacking monthly business reviews (MQBR) and executive offsite agendas
- Structuring cross-functional narratives and surfacing game-changing insights
- Translating complex business data into decision-ready clarity for senior leadership
- Conducting independent investigations into unexplored strategic topics
- Setting benchmarks for how the organization understands its own performance
- Navigating high-stakes executive environments with autonomy and confidence
You will work without a pre-existing playbook, instead creating frameworks and processes that define how Matillion analyzes and acts on business intelligence. This role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong analytical rigor, and the ability to communicate complex findings to C-suite executives.
Matillion is the company behind Maia, an AI Data Automation platform that combines 15 years of data expertise with agentic AI to eliminate manual work in data engineering. Customers include Cisco, DocuSign, and Slack. The company was founded in Manchester and now operates globally with teams across the UK, US, and India.
The role is hybrid, requiring at least one visit to the Manchester HQ office per month.
