Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager for PCB/PCBA to serve as the domain expert for printed circuit board and assembly commodities. This is a high-impact role responsible for securing critical components, materials, and services that power Anduril's defense systems, which are powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system for military command and control.
You will develop and execute comprehensive commodity strategies for PCB/PCBA and subassemblies, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience. Key responsibilities include end-to-end ownership of part delivery quality and cost, leading RFI/RFQ/RFP processes, and managing business relationships with external contract manufacturers. You will own continuity of supply, risk management, cost negotiations, and new product introduction to mass production execution.
You will partner closely with engineering teams and contract manufacturers to influence technical design specifications and customize manufacturing requirements. This includes performing detailed cost analysis on quote submissions, conducting deep dives into supply chain elements, and making data-driven decisions based on total cost of ownership (TCO). You will negotiate key supplier agreements establishing best-in-class pricing, quality, flexibility, delivery, and service terms.
Cross-functional collaboration is essential—you will work with internal teams to support prototype requirements, execute build milestones, and lead sourcing activities. You will influence contract manufacturers' processes, capital expenditure decisions, and technology choices. Regular technology reviews to executive staff and management are part of the role, along with ownership of supplier performance management across delivery, quality, cost, and innovation metrics.
Required: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field; 8+ years in supply chain category management of PCB assembly and electronics manufacturing or sourcing engineering; ability to travel up to 50%; ability to relocate to Costa Mesa if not already local.
Preferred: Bachelor's in electrical or mechanical engineering; prior defense, aerospace, automotive, or high-tech industry experience; expertise in TCO analysis; strategic commodity strategy development; proven cross-functional leadership and influence; ability to obtain and maintain U.S. TS clearance.
