As Senior Strategic Project Manager within the Office of the CEO, you will be a primary execution driver for the company's most critical cross-functional initiatives. You will serve as the strategic bridge connecting executive leadership with operational, regulatory, product, and business teams across Luxembourg and Milan hubs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Solve complex business challenges by developing innovative, data-backed solutions with a user-first approach
- Manage relationships with C-level stakeholders and act as a thought partner for leadership on strategic areas
- Influence major decisions through in-depth analysis and proven insights, integrating diverse perspectives into coherent strategies
- Develop and introduce new methodologies, best practices, or frameworks within the team or company
- Act as project manager champion for regulatory and supervisory requirements, ensuring they are proactively factored into project roadmaps at the design stage in partnership with Legal, Compliance, and Risk
- Establish project governance, track milestones across offices, proactively remove cross-departmental bottlenecks, mitigate delivery risks, and provide data-driven reporting to executive leadership
- Serve as an authoritative on-the-ground project leader in Luxembourg, ensuring financial institution governance requirements harmonize with group-wide strategy and product velocity
You will work side-by-side with internal Legal, Compliance, and Risk experts who own regulatory subject matter, while your core strength is senior strategic leadership and project execution.
The role is based in Luxembourg with a hybrid working policy (three days per week in-office: Tuesday, Thursday, plus one day of your choice), with frequent hands-on collaboration travel to Milan headquarters.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 6–7 years of hands-on experience within a regulated environment, ideally within high-growth Fintech, Scale-ups, EMI/Banking institutions, or Financial Services
- Hands-on knowledge and deep familiarity with compliance, legal, and regulatory matters
- Proven track record of managing complex, end-to-end multi-stakeholder initiatives using structured project management frameworks
- Good high-level familiarity with the fintech landscape, EMI/payment institution dynamics, and European financial regulation concepts (PSD2/PSD3, AML/CFT, GDPR)
- Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish momentum, and align priorities across distributed international offices and matrixed teams
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to synthesize technical, operational, and regulatory concepts into clear, executive-level narratives and actionable plans
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); Italian is a strong asset
- Willingness to relocate to Luxembourg and travel frequently to Milan
