Shield AI is seeking a Senior Staff Technical Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software releases for Hivemind Enterprise, a software development kit enabling Shield AI and third parties to create next-generation unmanned systems and mission applications for the U.S. and its allies.
In this role, you will drive major initiatives building command and control interfaces for autonomous systems, working closely with sponsors, product managers, designers, and cross-functional engineering teams. Your responsibilities include developing detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation; monitoring project progress and identifying risks; implementing mitigation strategies; facilitating stakeholder communication; and driving continuous improvement in project management processes and tools. You will facilitate technical decision-making to prioritize work and make complex tradeoffs, while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. A key focus is reinforcing Shield AI's reputation for technical excellence through expert engagement and disciplined execution.

REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of work experience in Program Management, Engineering Management, or Software Engineering (alternative degrees acceptable if professional experience is focused on testing Enterprise Software, Artificial Intelligence, or Robotics)
- Experience driving releases of complex software and integrated hardware/software systems
- Track record of driving results, not just providing status
- Solid technical foundations in software development with deep knowledge of optimizing the software development lifecycle
- Ability to recognize efficiency and inefficiency in projects and prioritize remedies based on accurate cost-benefit analysis
- Exceptional, fundamentals-driven problem solver and communicator
- Demonstrated record of setting and achieving goals in dynamic environments, working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Power user of Jira or work management tools
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or MBA
- Previous experience as a software developer or test engineer
- Previous experience driving software releases for enterprise software used by software engineers
- Passionate about User Experience Design
- Aviation domain experience
- Autonomy, AI, ML expertise
- PMP, Scrum Master, or similar certifications
