The Vehicles & Hardware team develops the physical systems powering Cyngn's autonomous products, with emphasis on real-world deployment, safety certification, and operational robustness. As a Senior/Staff Systems Engineer, you will lead system definition and architecture for autonomous vehicle and robotics platforms. This is a hands-on senior systems role responsible for converting high-level product requirements (L0/L1 user stories and product intent) into detailed, testable engineering specifications, architectures, and verification plans using a structured V-model systems engineering approach.
You will work across a generalist systems scope spanning sensors, compute, power distribution, actuation, and safety-critical behaviors. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in industrial robotics or vehicle systems, understands safety certification expectations (relevant to autonomous systems and industrial equipment), and can effectively bridge product intent with disciplined engineering execution.
