LVT (LiveView Technologies) is a fast-growing intelligent site technology company that combines AI-driven analytics with physical hardware to help businesses operate safer and more securely. Named one of Financial Times' Fastest Growing Companies 2025 and #10 on Inc. 5000 Rocky Mountain Regional list, LVT is building next-generation solutions that transform raw video into actionable intelligence.
As Senior Staff Software Engineer on Project Matrix, you will provide durable technical leadership for LVT's embedded camera ecosystem. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape the engineering organization by driving system-wide architecture and identifying technical bets that create long-term competitive advantage.
Your team vertically owns embedded camera development—from device-level software and encoding to storage, streaming, and analytics. You'll operate within a Joint Design Manufacturing (JDM) model, leveraging Yocto and AI-driven methodologies to build robust edge devices.
Key responsibilities include: owning architectural decisions for embedded camera platforms that hold up over multi-year horizons; architecting and governing software running on edge devices and underlying infrastructure for encoding, storage, and streaming; serving as primary technical authority in the JDM model; brokering alignment across Hardware, Product Management, and other Software teams; driving rigorous architecture and code reviews while mentoring engineers; and directing implementation of camera analytics that translate raw video into actionable signals using AI tools.
You'll work with Technical Program Managers, hardware teams, and product leadership to ensure cohesive delivery from edge to cloud. Regular travel to headquarters in American Fork, Utah and JDM partners is expected. The role can be fully remote or based on-site at HQ in Utah or Seattle.
