You will lead the architecture of Tide's agentic AI platform, designing shared capabilities that enable AI systems to operate safely, reliably, and at scale. This is a company-wide technical leadership role focused on building foundational infrastructure for AI agents.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining the overall architecture for the agentic platform
- Designing shared services: context APIs, tool layers, policy controls, and auditability
- Partnering with product, data, security, and engineering teams to convert use cases into reusable platform capabilities
- Setting standards for reliability, safety, scalability, and developer experience
- Providing technical leadership across teams and unblocking critical decisions
- Implementing cost-management and routing logic to optimize LLM spend across providers
- Designing and building automated evaluation pipelines for agent reasoning accuracy and safety
Required experience:
- Deep background building platform or infrastructure systems at scale
- Strong judgment across APIs, distributed systems, data, and cloud-native architecture
- Track record leading complex cross-team technical problems
- Experience integrating third-party platforms while maintaining core architecture control
- Strong understanding of reliability, security, and observability
- Experience in regulated industries (fintech, healthtech) where safety and compliance are core is highly desirable
- AI platform component experience is valuable but not essential
Tech stack: Java, Spring Boot, JOOQ, event-driven architecture (SNS/SQS, Kafka), MySQL/PostgreSQL on AWS RDS/Aurora, Docker, Terraform, EKS, DataDog, Rollbar, GitHub with CI/CD, Angular 2+/Flutter, Fivetran/Snowflake/Looker, Python/Faust/Flask for ML and risk management.
