Salary: EUR 88,800 - 138,720 / annual

You will lead the architecture of Tide's agentic AI platform, designing the shared capabilities that enable AI systems to operate safely, reliably, and at scale. This includes building context APIs, tool execution layers, policy controls, observability systems, and evaluation frameworks. You will work across product, data, security, and engineering teams to translate use cases into reusable platform capabilities that compound value across the organization.
Key responsibilities include: defining the agentic platform architecture; designing shared services for context, tooling, and auditability; setting standards for reliability, safety, and scalability; providing technical leadership across teams; implementing cost-management and LLM routing logic; and building automated evaluation pipelines for agent reasoning and safety.
You should have deep experience building platform and infrastructure systems at scale, strong judgment across APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture, and a track record of leading complex cross-team technical problems. Experience integrating third-party platforms while maintaining core architecture control is important. Strong understanding of reliability, security, and observability is essential. Experience with AI platform components is valuable but not required. Background in regulated industries (fintech, healthtech) where safety and compliance are core is highly desirable.
Tide's tech stack includes Java, Spring Boot, and JOOQ for microservices; event-driven architecture with SNS/SQS and Kafka; MySQL and PostgreSQL on AWS; Docker, Terraform, and EKS; DataDog and Rollbar for observability; and GitHub with CI/CD pipelines. The company encourages new engineers to deploy to production within their first two weeks.
