Multiply Labs is a San Francisco-based robotics startup backed by top-tier investors including Casdin Capital, Lux Capital, and Y Combinator. The company is building advanced robotic systems to automate and scale the manufacturing of cell therapies, making life-saving treatments more accessible and affordable to patients worldwide.
Cell therapy manufacturing is currently a bottleneck in healthcare—traditional approaches are time-consuming and result in treatment costs exceeding $1M per patient. Multiply Labs' robots enable biopharma companies to produce cell therapies at scale without significantly disrupting existing processes, reducing regulatory barriers and risks while dramatically lowering costs.
As Senior Staff Robotics Software Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of core software systems that control and optimize robotic manufacturing platforms. This is a company-wide technical leadership role where you will:
• Architect and own critical software components for robotic control, perception, and automation
• Guide the technical direction of the robotics software stack across the organization
• Mentor and collaborate with other engineers to raise the bar on code quality and system design
• Work cross-functionally with hardware, controls, and manufacturing teams to translate requirements into robust software solutions
• Drive innovation in areas such as real-time control systems, computer vision, motion planning, and manufacturing automation
• Contribute to technical hiring and team growth
You will work on problems at the intersection of robotics, automation, and life sciences—building systems that directly impact patient outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a company solving one of healthcare's most critical challenges.
