Project44 is seeking a Senior Staff Product Manager to own market strategy and commercial success for its Last Mile e-commerce business. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can set direction in an ambiguous, fast-moving space and act like a product GM in growing the business. You will set and maintain the Last Mile product strategy and roadmap, grounded in direct customer conversations, market signals, and the realities of the US e-commerce delivery ecosystem. You'll lead discovery and validation with US-based enterprise and retail customers, running structured conversations to surface real needs, pressure-test assumptions, and translate findings into prioritized bets. You'll own how the product reaches the market: positioning and messaging with Marketing, pricing and packaging, enablement and deal support with Sales, and adoption and expansion motions with Customer Success. Key responsibilities include defining and owning the product vision, market strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for Last Mile e-commerce measured by commercial outcomes (pipeline, revenue, adoption, retention); leading customer discovery and validation with US-based enterprise and retail accounts; partnering with Sales and Marketing on positioning, messaging, pricing, competitive strategy, and enablement; translating strategy into clear, shippable requirements for the Bengaluru-based Product Manager and Engineering/Design teams; influencing across product, engineering, and go-to-market without direct authority; and raising the bar on product craft across the team by mentoring PMs and setting standards. You'll carry the Last Mile ARR number alongside Sales and Customer Success, treating pipeline, win rate, net retention, and expansion as your metrics. You'll partner closely with a Product Manager in Bengaluru who owns day-to-day product delivery, allowing your focus to stay on strategy, positioning, and growth. The vast majority of the Last Mile customer base is US-based, and you'll be the product leader closest to them. Project44's Decision Intelligence Platform, Movement, transforms fragmented logistics data into real-time, AI-powered insights. The company is headquartered in Chicago with a second HQ in Bengaluru. All team members are expected to actively leverage AI in their day-to-day work and develop AI fluency. The role requires in-office commitment four days per week at the Chicago headquarters. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in any discipline (computer science, business, or equivalent that has propelled you to build tech chops) - 10+ years of Product Management leadership experience building enterprise SaaS - Experience building and driving a roadmap based on customer needs with a clear path to incremental delivery - Experience presenting to executive leadership, participating in the sales cycle, and handling sensitive customer escalations - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to rapidly develop relationships with peers, partners, and key influencers - Passion and empathy for the product and users; strong belief in creating customer and user value - Ability to self-manage and act with autonomy - Detail-oriented and strategic; able to context switch from implementation details to company presentations - Senior product experience in last mile, logistics, transportation visibility, or e-commerce fulfillment (consumer delivery experience a strong plus) - Track record of setting product strategy in ambiguous spaces and driving it to commercial results (not just shipped features) - Strong customer instinct; comfortable running US enterprise conversations independently and representing product credibly to executives, customers, and prospects - Demonstrated influence at scale; ability to move cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without relying on authority - Experience working hand-in-hand with Sales and Marketing on go-to-market (positioning, pricing, packaging, launches, enablement) - Comfort collaborating with a distributed delivery team across time zones - Supply chain and/or logistics experience is a plus - May require travel to global project44, customer, and partner locations
